Hyundai Sonata in Carmel: Under the Hood

The new Hyundai Sonata sedans are powered by a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine making 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. This engine combines Hyundai's Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) and Multi-port fuel injection (MPI) technology to deliver fuel economy and efficiency at every turn. Buyers may select standard front-wheel or optional all-wheel drive. Both are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The performance-themed Sonata N Line has its power delivered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine using GDI and MPI fuel delivery methods to make 290 horses and 311 lb-ft of torque. The power hits the pavement via an N-tuned 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. A sport-tuned MacPherson Strut suspension in front and Multilink rear suspension is included for optimal handling and traction. The package finishes itself off with twin-tip dual exhausts.

Both Sonata models include complimentary oil and oil filter changes and tire rotation services for the first three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.
